Welcome to Van Alstyne High School. It is truly my honor to serve as Principal and to work with
such a wonderful group of educators.

I received a Bachelor’s Degree from The University of Texas at Arlington and a Master’s Degree
from Lamar University. This will be my sixteenth year in public education. I have served as a
Dean of Instruction, an Assistant Principal, an Associate Principal and Principal. My husband,
Ted, and I are the proud parents of two sons and one daughter, who are all grown. We absolutely
love spending time with our children, in-law children and especially our three precious
grandsons.

At VAHS we guide our students to develop real-world skills that will empower their future and
we encourage them to take part in the rich traditions of being a Van Alstyne Panther. Whether
that is through Ag/FFA, athletics, culinary arts, fine arts, academics or athletics.
I look forward to getting to know all of our new students and their families as we work together
in the 2023-2024 school year. Please let me know if there is any way that I may assist you or
your student. My door is always open.
