Parents and Students,

My family and I are excited to be Van Alstyne Panthers!  This is an excellent community with exceptional staff and students. I received my bachelor’s degree from Abilene Christian University and my master’s from Texas A&M University – Commerce. As principal of this school, it is my desire to see our students excel academically and develop personally through our various programs.  I look forward to having a productive partnership with parents and the community to help our students prepare for their next steps in life after high school.  I deem it a privilege to serve this staff, students and community.  Through taking advantage of the numerous programs at Van Alstyne High School, I encourage our students to strive to maximize their learning and potential.  Parents, you are our partners. I want to work with you to guide your children through the high school years, ensuring they will produce a positive impact on our community and world.

I am thrilled to be a part of the Van Alstyne community and the Assistant principal at Van Alstyne High School.  I received my Bachelor’s Degree of Science from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia and my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Texas Woman’s University in Denton, Texas.  I began my career in education in 1997 as a teacher, head coach, department chair, testing coordinator and assistant principal. I am looking forward to utilizing my experience to ensure that all students create their own future after leaving VAHS.   I believe in building and fostering strong relationships and I am ready to work with everyone that touches our student’s lives.
