Van Alstyne High School prides itself on becoming a premier learning environment for all students.  School accountability is measured in a variety of ways; Schooldigger.com recently rated Van Alstyne High School as a five star campus, ranking it 67th out of the 1687 Texas High Schools. However, VAHS and its staff believe that test scores are not the sole indicator of student achievement. We want our students to have opportunities to be involved and participate in multiple activities that help them become productive citizens.

We believe that quality education is driven through communication between students, parents, and the school. We value and use the annual parent survey to continue to grow and provide an education that meets the needs of the students and the community. It is our desire to use data to provide a meaningful education for every student. Teachers at Van Alstyne High School will continue to promote a rigorous learning environment through different instructional methods to foster student learning.  We encourage parents and community members to communicate ways that we may improve and grow as a learning environment.
